What is Podcasting?
Podcasting is a method of publishing audio broadcasts via the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed of new files (usually MP3s). It became popular in late 2004, largely due to automatic downloading of audio onto portable players or personal computers.
Podcasting enables independent producers to create self-published, syndicated "radio shows," and gives broadcast radio programs a new distribution method. Listeners may subscribe to feeds using "podcatching" software such as the free program itunes, which periodically checks for and downloads new content automatically.
How to subscribe to Encounter Online's Free Podcast
1. Download itunes a free program for Podcasts.
2. Open itunes and click on Podcasts button in upper left hand corner.
3. Hit Podcast Directory button in lower left hand corner.
4. Search for Encounter Online in Search all Podcasts box and the Encounter Online Podcast will appear.
5. Click on Subscribe under Encounter Online Podcast.
