encounter
\ in-`kaunt-er \ vb \ to come upon face to face

For all of human history, people have longed to know their Creator, experiencing the freedom of his gracious presence and the power of his purifying love.

One ancient songwriter has expressed it well: "As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?" (Psalm 42:1-2, NIV)

It is this longing, this thirst, that we hope Encounter helps to satisfy. As the Saturday night worship gathering of BranchCreek Community Church, Encounter is, quite simply, designed to help people "go and meet with God."

We do this by focusing our attention on Jesus Christ, who, as we understand it, came to reveal God to us. Specifically, we gather to worship Jesus with passion and humility, and to learn from him as we dig into his Word, the Bible.

We want Encounter to be a safe place for you to explore real Christianity. So bring your questions; bring your doubts. But, most of all, bring your spiritual hunger as we gather to encounter God together.
